Petersen graduated from the University of Copenhagen College of
Medicine, Copenhagen, Denmark in 1972 and specializes in Infectious
Disease and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Petersen has worked at the Arizona
Health Sciences Center since 1972 and is currently Chief of the
Section of Infectious Disease, Chief of Staff for University Medical
Center and Assistant Head of the Department of Medicine. Dr. Petersen
has been providing quality care for persons living with HIV infection
since the early 1980's. |

Stephen Klotz, MD

| Dr. Klotz completed his Fellowship training in Infectious Diseases at the University of Texas San Antonio in 1984. He has been the Director of HIV Clinics for Louisiana State University and the University of Kansas. He is currently Professor of Medicine in the Section of Infectious Diseases at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center and Director of the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program. He is the Principal Investigator for the University of Arizona sponsored Ryan White Title III Program. He has been funded by the National Institutes of Health or Veterans Affairs since 1981 to study the molecular interactions of Candida albicans, a fungus which causes thrush, a common clinical problem in patients with HIV-1 infection. |

Carol Schneiderman, PharmD

Carol graduated from the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy
with a Doctor of Pharmacy in 1992. Carol has been working in HIV/AIDS
community since 1997 beginning at Kino Community Hospital. She joined
the Arizona Health Sciences Center section of Infectious Disease
in September 2001. Carol provides pharmaceutical care to persons
living with HIV/AIDS. Carol also is a faculty member of the Arizona
AIDS Education and Training Center as a trainer/educator. |

Letty Gastelum

| Leticia “Letty” Gastelum has been with the University of Arizona for 4 years. She previously worked in the Medical Education Office before moving to the Section of Infectious Disease in March of 2005. She has over 20 years of experience in providing administrative support to both private businesses and public service entities. Letty currently provides both administrative and patient support and acts as the section liaison for the Section of Infectious Disease. She works closely with patients, UPH schedulers and clinics, College of Medicine departments as well as outside laboratories and agencies on HIV related issues. |

Patricia McCracken, RN, MSN

| Ms. McCracken has had 38 years experience in nursing. She received nursing education in Michigan and New Hampshire, a BS in Management from Franklin Pierce College and a MSN through the University of Phoenix. She has been in management positions for 15 years. She has been working in HIV/AIDS care since 2000. She provided early intervention services through the Department of Health in New Mexico. In that position, her service area included eight counties in the southwestern part of the state. As the UA Ryan White EIS Program Administrator her duties are to oversee the program operational and fiscal management, coordinates patient care with the physicians, pharmacist, and social worker at the clinics, assures pertinent patient data is available for providers, and reports to sponsoring agencies. She was active with the New Mexico AETC providing education to area nursing programs; she also supports the Arizona AETC. |

Martha Aragon

| Ms. Aragon has worked in patient care related positions for her entire work history. She worked as the office manager and medical assistant for an internal medicine physician for 6 years doing all scheduling, data management, patient care, and office organization. Then, she worked as a Chiropractic Assistant for five years. In that capacity, she attained certification as an assistant in various medical treatments and procedures. In the Ryan White EIS she maintains all patient data in the database as well as hard copies, she enrolls patients in the EIS program as well as ADAP, she coordinates and facilitates the Consumer Advisory Board, and attends clinics assisting professional staff in patient care. |
